Biosolids Screening
Process cleanout sludge the same way you handle your daily sludge, with no added wash water.
Screening lets you handle sludge removed from your digester or pond the same way you handle your daily output. That saves landfill costs and expensive alternative dewatering.
As sludge is pumped through the screen, rags, plastics and other debris are removed. The cleaned sludge can go to drying beds or into tankers for land application, and the debris goes to drop boxes or drying beds, then directly to a landfill.
We don't just wash the sludge through a screen with water, which creates more material to process, store and haul. Our screens, built by Northwest for harsh conditions, use a specially designed power auger that cleans the sludge without the extra water. The result is clean sludge with a higher solids content, ideal for dewatering or land application.
